Setting up Inheritance for 3-Key Vault

Follow these steps to setup your Inheritance for your 3-Key Vault.

1. Setup and Access Casa App: After setting up your 3-Key Vault, open the Casa app on your mobile device to begin setting up your inheritance plan.
2. Navigate to Inheritance Tab: Tap on the "Inheritance" tab within the Casa app interface.
3. Initiate Setup: Under the "Setup" tab within the Inheritance section, tap "Get Started."
4. Review How it Works: Read and scroll through the provided steps to understand how the inheritance process functions.
5. Continue: Once you've reviewed the steps, tap "Continue" to proceed.
6. Add Recipient Email: Enter the email address of your intended recipient. Re-enter the email address to confirm accuracy.
7. Choose Vault: Tap on the dropdown menu to select your 3-Key Vault.
8. Review Details: Tap on "Review Details" to ensure all information is correct and to confirm the terms of service for your inheritance plan.
9. Send Invitation: After confirming, click "Send Invite" to dispatch the email invitation to your recipient.
   Recipient Actions: Your Recipient will receive an email invitation prompting them to click on "Accept Invite", download the Casa app and proceed with setup.
   

1. Open the Casa app on their device and navigate to the "Inheritance" tab.
2. Tap "Setup" on the Inheritance management screen.
3. Within the "Vault" screen, select "Add Key."
4. Scan the QR code provided within the app.
5. Upon successful scanning, they will receive a "success" confirmation, indicating that they now possess a copy of your Casa Mobile Key. Setup is now complete!
   
   

Recipient Setup 2 Hardware Wallets
If you are using two hardware wallets you will need to copy one of the keys from your setup and share it with your Recipient. For more information on how to copy a key see This article.

Once you have shared your hardware key with the Recipient they would need to follow these steps: 

1. Open the Casa app on the Recipient device and navigate to the "Inheritance" tab.
2. Tap on "Shared with me" at the top of the screen. You should see the Vault that was shared with the recipient below.
3. Tap "Finish Setup" on the Inheritance Management screen.
4. Within the "3-Key BTC Vault" screen, select "Set up key".
5. Tap on "Send Email" to start connecting your hardware wallet to the vault
6. Open the email "Verify your 3-Key BTC Vault device" on your computer and click on "Connect your device" after connecting your hardware wallet to that same computer and follow the flow on the browser.
7. Upon successful finishing the flow in the browser, they will receive a "Great Work" message on the browser and a "Success" confirmation in the Casa app, indicating that they now possess a copy of your Casa Key. Setup is now complete!
