Overview of the Casa app

The Casa app is your personal digital vault for securing bitcoin and other crypto assets.

Overview of the Casa App

Most people who own crypto store it on an exchange or in a single-device wallet — which means one hack, one lost device, or one forgotten password risks losing everything. Casa solves this by requiring multiple keys to move your funds, so no single point of failure can put your assets at risk.

Overview 1

How Casa protects you: the multi-key model

Every paid Casa vault uses a concept called multisig (multi-signature), meaning multiple keys are required to authorize any transaction. Casa holds one of those keys for emergency recovery — but because it's just one key out of several, Casa can never move your funds unilaterally. You don't have to trust Casa. You stay in control.

🔐 Your keys, your crypto. Even in a worst-case scenario, your funds remain accessible to you — Casa's key alone is never enough to send funds from your vault.

Casa Pay — included with every plan

All Casa plans include Casa Pay, a single-signature wallet designed for smaller amounts and everyday use. Your Pay key is stored in your phone's secure enclave and automatically backed up to iCloud (iPhone) or Google Drive (Android). Only your phone is needed to send funds from Pay.

💡 Casa Pay is great for day-to-day transactions. For larger holdings, your multi-key vault provides a much higher level of security.

Standard

Best for: individuals taking their first step into serious self-custody

Standard adds a 3-key vault on top of Casa Pay. Your vault uses three keys by default: a mobile key (stored on your phone), a hardware key (such as a Trezor or Ledger), and the Casa Recovery Key. You'll need 2 of 3 keys to send funds. You can optionally replace the mobile key with a second hardware key for added security.

Premium

Best for: individuals and families with significant holdings who want the strongest personal security

Premium upgrades you to a 5-key vault, which includes a mobile key, three hardware keys (usually two Trezors and one Ledger), and the Casa Recovery Key. You'll need 3 of 5 keys to send funds.

Private Client

Best for: those requiring a fully tailored, high-touch security solution

Private Client includes everything in Premium, plus the option to add a fourth hardware key, creating a 6-key vault (3 of 6 keys required to send). Private Client members also have access to team signing, integrated inheritance planning, and full-service digital security consulting.
