Using Passkeys for your Casa 2FA

We are excited to introduce passkeys as a new and secure alternative to traditional two-factor authentication (2FA) methods. Passkeys offer a seamless, password-free sign-in experience that is both more convenient and more secure.

What Are Passkeys?

Passkeys are a modern replacement for passwords and can be used to log in to websites and apps without the need for a password. They are resistant to phishing, strong, and do not involve sharing any secrets. This makes them a highly secure option for authentication. You can use a passkey as your 2FA authentication.

How to Add or Remove Passkeys

You can manage your passkeys through your account settings. Here’s how:

  1. Adding a passkey:
    • From Your Settings: Go to your account settings and tap on 2FA settings. Follow the prompts to add a passkey. Tap Passkey and then tap Secure with passkey. Sign in to your Cloud settings and don’t forget to label your passkey to help you identify it later.
  1. Removing a Passkey:
    • Go to your account settings and tap on 2FA settings.
    • Navigate to the passkeys section.
    • Remove the passkey by following the prompt.
