Security for Casa Loans
This article explains the security measures Casa uses to protect your loan and collateral, and what you can expect as a borrower.
Overview
Casa loans are designed with a strong security model that prioritizes transparency, control, and protection of your collateral. This includes:
-
Fixed collateral addresses
-
Secure third-party custody architecture
-
Mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) for loan access
When you take out a Casa loan, your collateral is sent to a designated collateral address.
Important things to know:
-
Your collateral address does not change during the life of the loan
-
Casa will never email or message you asking you to send funds to a different address
-
Any request to move collateral outside of the agreed loan process should be treated as suspicious
Always verify addresses directly within official Casa channels. If you are unsure, contact Casa Support before taking any action.
Loan collateral is held using a secure, institutional-grade custody setup.
-
Collateral is stored with Fireblocks
-
The structure uses a tri-party arrangement, separating responsibilities between Casa, custody providers, and counterparties
-
This setup is designed to reduce single points of failure and enhance overall security
Casa does not have unilateral control over loan collateral, adding an additional layer of protection for borrowers.
To protect sensitive financial information, 2FA is required to access your loan dashboard.
-
You must enable 2FA in the Casa mobile app
-
Without 2FA enabled, you will not be able to view loan details on the web
-
Supported 2FA methods include authenticator apps and passkeys
This ensures only authorized users can view loan balances, collateral details, and loan status.
To keep your loan secure:
-
Never trust unsolicited messages requesting collateral transfers
-
Always use official Casa apps and websites
-
Keep 2FA enabled on your account
-
