Premium & Private Customer Onboarding Call Readiness List
Complete this checklist before your onboarding call to help things go as smoothly as possible.
This checklist is for Premium members who received a Trezor-based onboarding package. If you are a Private Client, or if you are using a hardware device other than Trezor, please contact your Client Services representative before your onboarding call. They will provide a tailored readiness checklist for your configuration.
⏱️ Estimated time to complete this checklist: 15–30 minutes
We’re excited to meet you and give you the confidence that your bitcoin is protected, so you can focus on what matters most.
What to expect on your onboarding call
Before diving into the checklist, here's a quick overview of what we'll cover together on the call so you know exactly what you're preparing for:
- Set up your 5-Key vault for BTC (or ETH/USDC/USDT if applicable)
- Make your first deposit into your vault
- Walk through security best practices and geographic distribution of your hardware keys
- Collect your duress word and emergency contact
- Explain how our Inheritance feature works and prepare you for its setup
- Discuss the Sovereign Recovery process
📞 Your onboarding call will take approximately 60–75 minutes
📌 Note: If we are unable to finish all of these steps during the initial call, we will book a second, shorter call to complete your onboarding.
Your pre-call checklist
💻 Computer & software
- Ensure you have access to a laptop or desktop computer running macOS or Windows 11 (or later)
- Ensure you have Google Chrome installed on your computer
- Download and install Trezor Suite on your laptop or desktop from trezor.io/trezor-suite
📱 Casa app
- Ensure you have the Casa mobile app installed and can log in on your phone
🔧 Hardware devices (Trezor)
- Open both Trezor boxes and remove the packing stickers from the screen and the bottom of each device
- Confirm you can plug the Trezor devices into your computer — either directly or using one of the adapters included in your onboarding package (the adapter is in the small purple plastic bag)
📄 Physical materials
- Locate the two seed phrase cards inside one of the Trezor boxes (found inside the green "Get Started" sleeve) and have a pen nearby
- Ensure your tamper-evident bags and device labels are out and ready to use
🎥 Pre-call video
- Watch this video walkthrough of how to set up a 5-Key vault — it's a helpful preview of what we'll cover on the call together:
💸 If you'd like to make a test deposit during the call
- Have access to the platform, wallet, or keys where your funds currently reside so you can send a small test amount to your new Casa vault during the call
🆘 Emergency contact
- Think of an emergency contact who can be reached in a duress situation — ideally someone who does not live in your home
⚠️ Important: Your seed phrase cards contain the backup to your hardware devices. Never photograph them, store them digitally, or share them with anyone — including Casa staff. We will never ask for your seed phrase.
