Loan Payments
This article explains how loan payments work, including when payments are due, how to make a payment, what happens if a payment is late, and when liquidation risk begins.
When Payments Are Due
Loan payments are due monthly on the date specified in your loan agreement. You can find your exact due date in your loan dashboard.
It is your responsibility to ensure payment is made on or before the due date.
How to Make a Payment
Payments must be made using the payment method specified in your account. You can find your upcoming payment amount and the due date on your loan dashboard. Press the "Make a payment" button on your loan dashboard to see instructions.
If you are unsure how to submit a payment, please contact support before your due date to avoid late fees or liquidation risk.
Where to Find Payment Information
You can view the following details in your loan dashboard:
- Payment due date
- Amount due
- Outstanding loan balance (loan principal)
- Accrued interest and fees
Early Repayment
Early repayment is not supported for open term loans. If you wish to repay your loan, please submit a 90-day notice. We will provide updates if early repayment becomes available in the future.
When a Monthly Interest Payment Is Considered Late
There is a 2-business-day grace period for monthly interest loan payments. If payment is not received within 2 business days of the due date, the payment is considered late.
Fees on Late Payments
Starting 2 business days after the payment due date, 5% daily compounding interest starts to accrue on the overdue amount.
Final Payment (Final Interest Payment Plus Principal)
-
- If your final payment has not been received by 5 PM ET on the due date, a 20% annual interest rate is applied starting the next day.
- Interest is charged on the full outstanding amount owed.
- You have 4 business days after the due date to make your final payment before a liquidation event can occur.
