Setting Up the Casa Recovery Key for Enterprises Using Individual Team Photos
For Enterprise clients using Team Signing on their 5 or 6 key vaults, activating the Casa Recovery Key requires video verification with our Client Services team. Each Key Manager must upload their photo before the Casa Recovery Key becomes active.
How It Works
• The Recovery Key remains inactive until all Key Managers have uploaded their photos.
• If a Vault Owner reassigns a key to a new Key Manager, the Recovery Key becomes temporarily unusable until the new Key Manager uploads their photo.
• Key Managers receive an email with a secure link to upload a recent, clear photo via their mobile or desktop browser.
• If the photo is not uploaded within seven days, clicking “Add photo” in the email will trigger a new email with a fresh link to complete the process.
Steps for Key Managers to Upload Their Photo
1. Check Your Email
• Look for an email from Casa with the subject line: “Action Required: Upload Your Photo for Casa Recovery Key”.
• If you don’t see the email, check your spam/junk folder.
2. Open the Secure Link
• Click the “Add Photo” button in the email.
• This will take you to a secure page in your mobile or desktop browser.
3. Select or Take a Photo
• Choose a recent, clear photo from your device, or take a new one.
• Ensure the photo meets these requirements:
• Good lighting (no shadows or excessive brightness).
• Face clearly visible (no sunglasses, hats, or filters).
• No other people in the photo.
4. Upload the Photo
• Tap “Upload”, then wait for confirmation that your photo has been received.
5. Verification Process
• Once all Key Managers have uploaded their photos, Casa will activate the Recovery Key.
• If you miss the 7-day window, clicking “Add Photo” will trigger a new email with an updated link.
Casa Recovery Key Verification Call for Enterprises
When an Enterprise client requests the Casa Recovery Key, Casa verifies the request by:
1. Validating the photos of the Key Managers and Team Manager against their uploaded images.
2. Ensuring that all verification steps are met before allowing the Recovery Key to be used.
Security Features
•Each Key Manager has a unique verification code inside the Casa mobile app, which can be used to confirm they are speaking with an official Casa representative.
•Every Key Manager receives a different verification code for added security.
This process ensures that only authorized team members can access the Recovery Key, adding an extra layer of security to enterprise vaults.
